Pretty Scary Night

Just thought I'd post some pics of all the crazy people at the Halloween Party (and one of our beautiful backyard!). Thanks again to Heath and Karissa for hosting this year's big event----it was fabulous! We missed you, TyLineKaiaCanyon!

a perfect fall day

2 best friends + 1 hayride+ 3 GIANT pumpkins= a perfect fall day!

mary, nelson and i went on a fun outing to the pumpkin patch with my friend heidi's preschool class. it was fabulous! it cost $3 a person and you got to pick ANY size pumpkin you wanted! so naturally nelson picked one that seriously weighed 50 pounds. i'm serious...i had to carry it back to the hayride! i think it was over half as tall as he was! makes me want to eat donuts and drink cider.

Runner Man Will

Our neighborhood had a "Fun Run" today--a 10k, 5k, and a "1k", which was about 1.2 miles. We decided to run the 1k with the kids. Nelson mostly rode in the stroller, but he sprinted the last 100 yards to the end. Mary ran quite a bit--more than we thought she would--and then rode with Nelson the rest of the way. Will ran pretty much the entire 1.2 miles, and he did it in 12:38! That's a 10:30/mile average. Not bad for a 5-year-old.

Best part was that he won the 1k! Next closest kid came in nearly a minute behind him. And there were a few kids twice his age! After it was over he said, "Next year I want to do the 5k." I think he could have. Maybe we'll train him for the Wasatch Back....

yes...I coupon

so i had to share my fun experience at Target yesterday.  i am trying to "coupon".  and i must say it is quite a rush when you get that rockin' deal!  do you want to guess how much i got this purchase for?

$2.97!  that includes two things of huggies wipes, 2 lbs of cheese, two applesauces, 2 things of fishies, and some carpet powder.  i was pretty stoked!
